Mark your calendars for Sunday, April 26, as not only will it be the date for the 42nd Annual Daytime Emmy Awards, it'll also be the premiere date for the highly anticipated new reality series Queens of Drama.
Soap Opera Digest reports that Pop will air the reality show's first episode immediately following the live broadcast of the Daytime Emmy Awards. The series will then move to its regular Wednesday night slot beginning Wednesday, April 29, at 8PM ET/PT.
Queens of Drama features daytime and primetime soap stars Lindsay Hartley (ex-Cara, All My Children; ex-Arianna Hernandez, Days of our Lives; ex-Theresa Lopez-Fitzgerald, Passions), Crystal Hunt (ex-Stacy, One Life to Live; ex-Lizzie Spaulding, Guiding Light), Vanessa Marcil (ex-Brenda, General Hospital), Chrystee Pharris (ex-Simone, Passions), Hunter Tylo (ex-Taylor, The Bold and the Beautiful), and Donna Mills (Madeline, GH; ex-Abby, Knots Landing), who take control of their careers by producing and starring in a new serialized drama of their own creation. The ten episodes will closely follow the actresses as they develop, pitch, and produce their idea with the goal of landing a pilot deal by the season's finale.
